How to Dewinterize your RV
Dewinterizing your RV in a simple 5 step process as follows.
1) The first step to de winterize RV is add water to your fresh water system and run your water pump with all your faucets open until your water runs clear. This will help you to flush out all the anti-freeze (pink). When the water is clear, this should indicate that the antifreeze is out of the system.
2) Blow out LP (liquid propane) appliance burners, open windows to get rid of stale air and air out the unit.
3) Check all exterior seals, especially those around doors and windows for weather cracking and caulk and reseal if necessary.
4) Check all lights and charge or replace battery if necessary. Batteries only last an average of 2 years. Test wall outlet and GFI, test appliances. Repair and replace as necessary.
5) Lastly,check wheel bearings, spring shackles and stabaliser jacks.
Congratulations! Now you have completely de-winterized your RV and are ready to Go RVing!
